The Government of Canada has officially listed the Bishnoi Gang as a terrorist entity under the Criminal Code, Minister of Public Safety Gary Anandasangaree announced today.

The move follows increasing concerns about the gang’s violent activities in Canada, including murder, shootings, arson, and extortion that target diaspora communities and community leaders.
As a designated terrorist group, all property and assets owned or controlled by the Bishnoi Gang in Canada can be frozen or seized, and Canadian law enforcement will gain stronger tools to investigate and prosecute terrorism-related crimes such as financing, recruitment, and travel.
The Bishnoi Gang, a transnational criminal organization primarily based in India, has established a presence in Canada where it fuels fear and intimidation within communities.
With this addition, there are now 88 terrorist entities listed in Canada.
